In response to the need for English professionals in the modern society, the Department of Foreign Languages (DFL) of Fooyin University was established with a junior-college program in 1995 and expanded with a college program in 2002. It is one of the three departments in which both a junior-college program and a college program are offered to students at Fooyin University. After long-term efforts on maintaining the good quality of teaching, it is also one of the departments at Fooyin University which has been ranked as the top level in the quadrennial evaluation by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan.
